Roger & Isabel’s Tropical Fruit Symphony

At their farm Finca Las Mercedes in Nicaragua, Don Roger and Doña Isabel have created this perfectly named, fruity coffee. They process part of this lot as a traditional, natural coffee, and part of it they take over to their neighbors at Finca Idealista, where they use the winemaking technique of carbonic maceration to amp up the fruit flavor even further. We taste melon, kiwi, and cherry with a little baking spice note that reminds us of a fruity cocktail.Â
